The Daily Caller is reporting on the GOP alternative cybersecurity bill. Good news that Congress is taking cybersecurity seriously and will be debating about it to strengthen the measures currently in place. Good for them.
Cybersecurity company receives equity funding
This post from Marketwatch.com is some good news for the cybersecurity community. A number of my VC contacts have told me that they don’t think there is enough upside in cybersecurity to provide equity financing to them. Perhaps with the news that Corero Network Security raised over $7Mil will be a primer to open up the sector to more investment.

The Telegraph is reporting that two new suspects have been arrested in the UK hacking scandal. Wow – amazing how this just continues to unfold over there.
Church latest to settle in UK hacking for big bucks
Charlotte Church settled with News International for ₤600,000 ($951,000) in the hacking scandal that continues in the UK.
